The “ANAHTAR” Turkish Teaching Set for Foreigners has been prepared to teach our beautiful Turkish language — which has recently become one of the most popular languages to learn in the world — in the most suitable way to non-speakers.
The word “Anahtar”, which means “key” in Turkish, symbolizes the idea of unlocking the door to the Turkish language and culture. Just as a key opens new opportunities, this series aims to open the way for learners to understand, communicate, and connect through Turkish.
Developed in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and its defined proficiency levels, this set includes textbooks, workbooks, and QR codes that provide access to listening files for levels A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1.
The main goals of this set are to make it suitable not only for students who plan to study at universities in Turkey but also for learners of all ages (except primary school children), to avoid focusing excessively on grammar explanations and drills, and to encourage a learner-centered, communicative approach that motivates students to speak more.
For this reason, the set emphasizes the most commonly needed words and phrases in daily life, with texts, dialogues, exercises, and activities that develop the four core language skills — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — all supported by rich visual materials.
Grammar topics are presented in a simple and clear manner through concise tables that won’t intimidate learners; some extended tables are placed at the end of the textbook. The aim is to teach Turkish not through lengthy rule explanations and tedious tables, but through natural contexts and meaningful situations.
